By clicking on the Camps page above you can find out all the information you need to know about the FLC Cycling Gravity Camp to be held in Durango, CO on June 13-19, 2009 at Fort Lewis College.

The FLC Gravity Camp is focused on giving developing racers the training tools necessary, both on and off the bike, to reach their full potential.

The camp is open to all 16-23 year old, male and female, gravity racers.

flcridercodywilderman2On the bike, participants will work on skills, fitness and downhill runs – there fore it is strongly recommended that riders bring both a MX/DS/Trail bike and a Downhill bike. We’ll ride a variety of different slalom courses, local trails, a MX course, the BMX track and a couple downhill courses. Select courses will be timed to come up with the fastest racers. Results will be passed onto USA Cycling to get riders on the radar if they aren’t already.

Off the bike there will be discussions on nutrition, training plans/techniques, bike repair/maintenance/setup, and also guest speakers talking about mental preparation, race preparation and sponsorship.

Camp staff includes FLC Alumni/Pro Racers Tommy Tokarczyk (Jamis) and Cody Wilderman (Yeti), Chad Cheeney (Durango DEVO Head Coach) and former world caliber racer, Elke Brutsaert.

The cost of the camp is $725 and includes room and board.
