What is FLC Cycling?
Considering our rich history of Nationals Championships, Cycling is a Club Sport at Fort Lewis, but the Administration sees the value in the club and has invested in its sustainability.
FLC Cycling Club attracts some of the best junior talent in the country, but many club members have shown up to FLC with a bike and helmet and want to be involved, any one can join. There is some club sports paperwork to fill out, you must have health insurance, get a physical, and pay $150 in dues per term and you're in.
There are 3 categories of racing and on any given weekend take 20-50 racers to one of 20 events we travel to a year. There are usually about 8 MTB races in the spring, we run a weekly CX series and travel to CX Nats and there are about 9 Road racing weekends in the spring.
All this traveling takes money and the Club is funded by a mix of Student Fees, Club Dues, Corporate Partners, and Booster Club.
